Vest Pocket Arabic (Vest Pocket Series) ReviewThe title of this book is something of a misnomer: it really should be "Vest Pocket Egyptian Arabic" since that is what it teaches. It would sertainly be very difficult to use this as one's only text for learning Egyptian Arabic, although every sentence in the book is translated word for word and there are thumbnail sketches of grammar as well. But it covers a lot of useful everyday topics and for someone who already has learned some Egyptian and wants to expand their vocabulary, or else is looking to brush up having studied some in the past, I would give this book a thumbs up.
