Arabic (Egyptian), Q&S: Learn to Speak and Understand Egyptian Arabic with Pimsleur Language Programs (Pimsleur Quick and Simple) ReviewToday I just finished the 8 lesson Pimsleur Egyptian Arabic course. It's fantastic. I've used many of these Pimsleur courses and am a big fan to begin with, but Arabic poses some unique challenges. The pronunciation is a bear, with a handful of sounds that we don't have in English. Nonetheless, Pimsleur walks you through them, helping you pronounce them. The real test came when I tried out my new skills on a Arabic speaker at a local gas station today. He was blown away by what I knew and understood me just fine, even though he speaks a different dialect than Egyptian.
