The Storm: Stories and Prose Poems (Compass) ReviewKahlil Gibran has a way of writing that may touch any individual's thought and evoke musings of the old. Gibran is a poet/philosopher/artist chiefly, and has many works out.
The Storm is a favourite of mine because it is filled with a different kind of parable when compared to The Madman. Stories of the simplest experiences become water into wine experiences. The Storm becomes a work that one will read time and time again. It can be read a million different ways.
I recommend either this or The Madman for beginner Gibran fans. Bon appetit. The Storm: Stories and Prose Poems (Compass) OverviewThis work contains 14 short stories and poems, that express many of Gibran's key themes: the injustice meted out to the poor and the weak; the beauties of nature needlessly destroyed by man; and the innocent purity of young love, so often crushed underfoot by society.
