Classical Foundations of Islamic Educational Thought: A Compendium of Parallel English-Arabic Texts (Brigham Young University - Islamic Translation Series) ReviewThis compendium contains excellent works by historically prominent traditional Islamic scholars such as ibn Sahnun, al-Ghazali, al-Zarnuji, ibn Khaldun, and others, each work being about 20-50 pages long. It also contains none traditional additions, such as the Ikhwan al-Safa. Overall, a good broad selection in educational theory (education meaning the material and mode of the transmission of knowledge).
I have not been able to appraise the translation yet, but might do so in the future.
