Arabic Childrens Bible / Beautiful Full Color Children's Bible ReviewThis is a lovely Arabic Children's Bible. I am using it to help me improve my knowledge of Arabic. It seems to mirror very closely the Children's Bible published by Golden Press in 1965, except in Arabic, not English.
My only complaint about about the book itself is that the binding is not as tight or secure as it could be. Thus, in terms of the book alone, I gave the item 4 stars instead of 5.
The book also comes with a CD-Rom. After using the CD-Rom, I am disappointed. There is no way to correct the character-encoding problem, so all the application menus appear in undecipherable text. This makes it difficult to use the program. Given that I bought a copy of this book a few years ago, without the CD-Rom, the CD-Rom appears to account for about $20.00 extra dollars in terms of the price. This amount seems a bit much for a disk that will not work correctly. Furthermore, I went to the web site, ptwegypt.com and attempted to leave an email about my problem, but the link appears to be broken, so no help there!
Given the problems with the CD-Rom and the lack of support, I have reduced my initial rating of 4 stars to 3 stars.
Overall, I am pleased with the book alone, but I feel that the overall package is overpriced and a bit of a rip-off.
