The short vowels seem somewhat strange as another reviewer mentioned, but that may be attributed to differences in pronunciation between dialects. I was really able to nearly double my vocabulary with these cards.
The cards are somewhat flimsy and will deteriorate quickly with age, but that can probably be said for all flash cards.
