Arabic Vocabulary ReviewThere are several problems with these cards:
1) as you may know vowels are omitted in written Arabic. As a result, if you want to learn a new word in Arabic you need diactrics - the special extra signs used to indicate the vowels. An english transliteration as in Wehr's dictionary will also do. Unfortunately, this card set provides neither. It is like writing down "BY" and expecting someone to understand that this is to mean "bye" and not "buy" or "bay" or "boy" or ...
2) It is NOT enough to give a word as it is! If the word is a noun you have to give its plural. If it is a verb then you need to tell what the present tense is.
3) the choice of words is not good.
This card set is virtually useless for students of Arabic. Although, you may find it useful if you are an Arab trying to learn English!Arabic Vocabulary Overview
