Supposing (Arabic Edition) ReviewThis is a great book and highly recommened. The book is a sweet, witty and poignant look at childhood. A little monster is doing 'supposing' which is all bad, about falling down holes and houses getting burned down and spiders etc.The mother counters with supposing she made pancakes, and they went for a walk, bought balloons, ate icecreams and came home again. In short she turns a sad child hood fear into a happy thought which the little monster contributes too.
The illustrations are AMAZING - the characters are fey and wonderfully coloured and shaped - all very appealing. There are some lovely touches, like seeing the mother monster through the red balloon, or the way the hill picture looks like a collage.
This is a really special book, my 4 and 5 year old girls adore it and have started playing their own supposing games. Making lovely stories of what is going to happen.
