Arabic For Dummies Audio Set ReviewPros:-For beginners, this would help you with learning vocab. Decent refreshment for intermediates.
-Also would help with learning/retaining conjugations of verbs.
-Good for on the go. I have never followed along in the text.
Cons:
-When going over some conjugations, the speakers do it in an annoying manner. For instance, instead of substituting a verb to use, they will say the prefix, say "and stem," and then say the suffix.
-When asking you to compose sentences, they don't wait for an answer (maybe I'm a little slow, but as soon as I start answering, the guy on the CD starts speaking. I have to pause the CD player, think, speak, and then press play, which is annoying the car).
I would still recommend if you're beginner. If intermediate, just play CD's two and three for review and conversation drills.
I'm looking for anything I can play in the car so I don't waste time on the commute, and this works. If you have any ideas, leave me a comment.
